What is Smart Pick, and what does it actually do?
Smart Pick is MyDrawDay's number-generation tool, and it's important to be precise about what it does and doesn't do. It has no effect whatsoever on your odds of winning. Every possible combination in every lottery is exactly equally likely to be drawn, always — nothing about how a line was generated changes that.
What Smart Pick actually optimizes for is different: reducing the chance of splitting a jackpot with other winners if your numbers do come up. It does this by weighting number selection away from patterns that published research shows real players over-select — numbers 1–31 (birthday-linked), round numbers like 10, 20, 30, and a small set of culturally "lucky" numbers. It also avoids handing back a line that clusters too heavily around any single one of these patterns, by generating a few candidate lines internally and keeping whichever one its own crowding-risk check scores lowest.
Every generated line also gets a visible Low / Medium / High risk badge with the specific reasons behind the score, so nothing about the weighting is a black box. You can also enter any line you already have in mind — one you picked yourself, a family birthday set, anything — and Smart Pick's Check feature will score it the same way.
